Packsaddle Lake: A hikers paradise

“My experience going to Packsaddle has been an adventure getting there each time. There are some rough roads getting there so bring an SUV with a little bit of clearance. If you enjoy some basic off-roading, it can be a lot of fun.
My favorite thing to do at packsaddle is enjoy the scenery and pack a lunch for a picnic. The water is beautiful but a little chilly since it is a glacier-fed lake. There are some rope swings that are a blast. Definitely a highlight of the trip as well. “ -Kevin, S

How far: About 1 hour and 45-minute drive from Rexburg
What to do: Come explore the most incredible views and make great memories here. Enjoy some camping, hiking, rope swings, off-roading and swimming.
How much time will I spend there: Depending on the activity, plan accordingly.
Best time to go: Summer!
Things to know: It can be a challenge to find Packsaddle Lake, there is a lot of private property in the area so you need to follow a specific route.
DON’T FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS OR APPLE MAPS, they will take you to dead ends.
