Palisades: The only lake you need

If you haven't heard of Palisades, you are missing out! There are so many fun activities, here is a list of ideas.

• Kayaking & Paddle Boarding - With 16,00 acers of lake the possibilities are endless. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for rent at the ORC. Pack up head to the docs and set up for the day.

• Cliff Jumping - There are plenty of spots to jump in along the cliffs of the lake. Make sure to check your surroundings before, we don't want any accidents.

• Camping - With over 10 five start campgrounds within a 15 miles radius you can't go wrong. The obvious fan favorites are Big Elk Creek and Palisades Creek. Be sure to book reservations in advance.

• Boating - Have a friend with a boat? This is by far the best place to go boating grab your gear and giddy up!

• Tubing - This is the perfect way to relax! Blow up a tube and chill in the lake! Don't have a tube? Walmart has a fine selection for under $5!

• Picnics - There are so many perfect picnic spots take your time and find the perfect spot! Set up and enjoy a delicious meal.

• Hiking - Two of the most beautiful hikes are Upper and Lower Palisades. The hike is strenuous but after 15 miles the views make the everything worth it.

There really is something for everyone whether it's soaking in a tan or taking a plunge. Palisades is one of the seven wonders of Idaho and one of the best kept secrets! Palisades is calling your name..
